Baby Meenakshi Biography

Baby Meenakshi is a famous child artist associated with Malayalam cinema, who shot to fame with her debut flick – Amar Akbar Anthony, released in 2015. She played the central character of a Muslim girl -   Fathima (Pathumma). The film directed by Nadirshah was a blockbuster and the popular song - "Yenno Njaanende" was pictured on this cute little girl. The song was originally sung by Baby Sreya, which earned her a state award (special mention). "Yenno Njaanende" was the real highlight of the movie.

 

Baby Meenakshi is currently studying in fifth standard in Kidangur Aravinda School. She is learning both classical dance and is active with cultural activities. Drawing, Painting, Mimicry and Mono Act are her favourite items and she regularly performs both these items on stage and is quite popular as an artist at school. After the release of her debut flick, Amar Akbar Anthony she became a star of her school. Though she excelled in facial expressions and acting skills for the role, she feels that she was just playing on the film sets with her favourite actor – Prithviraj.  Meenakshi dreams to become a doctor and actress. Now she is known by the name ‘Paathu’ among her fans.

 

She was born into a family of non-filmy background. Anoop and Remya are her parents. Her father is a computer accountant, while her mother is a homemaker. She has one younger brother and he has appeared in short films. He is two and a half years old now. She got the film after an audition. She was asked to do the first shot of the film and finally bagged the role. She was selected from a group of kids by the agency. She bi-hearted the song within half an hour before its actual picturisation. The film was shot in Thuruth Colony, Kochi.
