Axar Patel Biography 
Axar Patel is an Indian cricketer from Gujarat associated with Indian National team. He was included in the 15-man squad for 2015 Cricket World Cup held in Australia and New Zealand. He is an all-rounder to his team and plays for Gujarat in domestic cricket. He played in Indian Premier League as a team member of Mumbai Indians in 2013 and Kings XI Punjab in 2014. He played his first ODI match in 2014 against Bangladesh and has played 22 ODI matches till now. He took 28 wickets and 91 runs from the 22 international one-day matches he played for India. He played 18 first class matches till now. He made his international T20 debut in 2015.
His full name is Axar Rajeshbhai Patel and his name is also pronounced as Akshar Patel. He started playing domestic cricket with team Gujarat in 2012. However he got only one match in the season. In 2013 season, he made an outstanding performance as an all-rounder for team Gujarat. Patel took 6 for 55 in the first innings played at Delhi, thus getting his first five-wicket haul only in the second match he played. He was selected to play IPL matches in the 2013 season as a member of Mumbai Indians. However he couldn’t get any opportunity to play. In 2014 he played for Kings XI Punjab, where he made an impressive performance.
In 2013 he was a team member of India Under-23 team which won ACC Emerging Teams Cup 2013. He contributed his best to the tournament with a total of 7 wickets. He took 4 wickets in the semi-finals against UAE. He has been a consistent player of Gujarat team over the years. He was named the BCCI Under-19 cricketer of the year for the 2012-13 season.
