Avinash Kaur Biography 
Avinash Kaur is a noted social reformer, social worker and politician associated with Delhi Pradesh Mahila Congress and currently serves its general secretary post. A noted public figure in the field of women empowerment she has been associated Indian National Congress committee for many years. She has also worked for under privilege children. She belongs to a family of social reformers and Kaur has also been associated with several NGOs for the purpose of welfare of the society. Presently she is the Director at Delhi Cooperative Housing Finance Cooperation Limited, Delhi.
Avinash Kaur was born on 1 September 1966 in Jalandhar, Punjab to a politician and civil servant, Gulzar Singh. She was born into a family of social workers and activists who has been fully active in social services of any forms. Her father was a retired civil servant, who has been a Deputy collector and a politician while her mother, a former Vice President, Jila Parishad, Jalandhar. Her grandfather Babu Ram was a Freedom Fighter and Social Reformer. Avinash Kaur completed her graduation from Guru Nanak Dev University in Jalandhar. Kaur too stepped into the shoes of her family members and forefathers by started her career as a social worker associated with several non-governmental organizations.
She is an active member of All India Mahila Congress, a women wing of Indian national congress and she is associated with those activities for women welfare and empowerment. Working with the association for more than a decade, she currently serves as the General Secretary For Delhi Pradesh Mahila Congress. She has also worked with Member of Social Welfare Ministry and Joint Secretary of an NGO Classic Sewa Samiti.
