Atul Parchure Biography

Atul Parchure is a noted Hindi actor, best known for playing character and comic roles. He is associated with both movies and television shows in supporting roles. He is also a theatre artist who works in Marathi theatre, and has done a few Marathi films and TV shows. Currently he is very active in television shows. Atul has appeared in comedy shows like Comedy Nights with Kapil, Comedy Circus, Comedy Circus Ke Ajoobe etc and is best known for his comic performances, instant timing and body language.

He regularly appears in comedy shows on SAB TV, and his character Bhavesh Vasavda in R. K. Laxman Ki Duniya is well known. Honar Sun Me Hya Gharchi, Yam Hain Hum, Bh Se Bhade, Badi Door Se Aaye Hai (cameo) etc are a few more television roles. He is quite active in film scene too, and was regular in the 2000s throughout. He has done around 100 character roles in films. Awarapan (2007), Kalyug (2005), Budda Hoga Tera Baap (2008) and Pappu Ki Pugdandi (2015) are among his best roles. All The Best, Khatta Meetta, Partner, Salam-E-Ishq etc are a few more Bollywood films, where he worked with the big stars of the industry.

He was born on July 11, 1966 in Mumbai, Maharashtra. The actor started his film journey in the early 1990s with the Bollywood movie, Bedardi in a brief role. He earned more meaty roles in 2000s, and by this time he established on small screen as a comic actor too. Some of his noted Marathi shows include – Tarun Turk Mhatare Arka, Vasi Chi Sasu, Priyatama etc. He often plays hero’s sidekicks, colleague and brother-in-law type of roles.
