Atul Kale Biography 
Atul Kale is a film actor and musician associated with Bollywood and Marathi film industry. He has also directed a few Marathi films, and also a stage actor, best known for his appearance in the Marathi play, Planchet. He is a professional singer who has shared the stage with Mahendra Kapoor and Johny Lever. As an actor, he was given first break to films by Mahesh Manjrekar. He has worked with the acclaimed director for a series of movies in supporting roles such as Vastav, Tera Mera Saath Rahe, Ehsaas, Virrudh, Lalu Prasad Yadav, Life Ho to Aisi, Hatyar and Pran Jaye Par Shaan Na Jaye.
Kale hails from Girgaon, Mumbai. He was introduced to the world of theater during his college days; his first handy experience with plays. Associated with experimental theatre since then, he has been a part of several Marathi and English plays. He has been a part of several noted plays in Marathi circle, Katha Mastaramachi, Farsh- Babulchya Premacha, Anamay and Planchet to mention a few. After his father’s death, he took up his father’s position at Oriental Insurance. During those days he started professional singing, and has performed aside Bollywood legend Mahendra Kapoor and film actor Johny Lever.
As a theatre artist he has been regularly associated with Devendra Pem. In one such association, he appeared in the play, ‘All the Best’ directed by Pem. Film director Mahesh Manjrekar spotted him through this play, and gave him first break to films. He has been featured in many TV commercials too. He has worked with Bharat Dabholkar for the plays, Oh No Not again, Monkey Business, Carry on Heaven and Funny thing called love.
As a playback singer, he has rendered his voice for the songs of Tera Mera Saath Rahe, Vastav, Jis Desh main Ganga Rehta Hai, Pyar Kiya Nahi Jata Hai, Astitva etc. He has composed film songs, and directed movies too. He is a recipient of many awards belonging to singing, acting and direction categories, which include - MATA Sanman and Zee Gaurav awards.
