Athulya Ravi Biography

Athulya Ravi is a young and budding actress associated with Tamil cinema. She made her debut with Kadhal Kan Kattudhe in 2017, and later acted in films including V. Z. Durai's Yemaali (2018) and Samuthirakani's Naadodigal 2. Suttu Pidikka Utharavu and Yen Peyar Anandhan are other projects. This aspiring actress has worked in both lead and supporting roles. She plays lead role in the sequel of cult classic, Naadodigal. Her debut film, Kathal Kan Kattudhe earned a lot of fans and a huge fan following crowd in twitter and other social sites.

Athulya Ravi hails from Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. She completed Information Technology at Sri Krishna College of Engineering and Technology, Coimbatore and then did a Masters in Computer Science at Panimalar Engineering College, Chennai, prior to her entry her films in 2017. College romance film Kadhal Kan Kattudhe (2017), released during Valentine week marked her debut in a lead role, and film opened to positive reviews from critics and audience alike. The film took a low profile opening, but eventually out ran bigger profile films released at the same time, thus becoming a sleeper hit.

Yemaali was her second release, where she shared screen space with newcomer Sam Jones and Samuthirakani. After playing a next-door girl in her debut film, when the teaser with some bold scenes came out, it didn’t go well with her fans. They trolled her and later the actress had to apologize before her fans.  Athulya was shown with a bare back, many cigarette-smoking shots, and also exposing the skin to the hilt which upset her fans. She played Ritu, a modern and independent girl in this film. She had to prepare a lot, and also lost a few pounds to get fit into the role.
