Askar Ali Biography

Askar Ali is a Malayali film actor who marked his acting debut in 2017. He is the younger brother of well-established Malayalam actor, Asif Ali. His first released work was Chembarathipoo. However his first signed project was Honey Bee 2.5, which had a delayed release. Honey Bee 2.5 is a movie about certain events and personalities on the sets of Jean Paul Lal film Honey Bee 2, starring his elder brother. He played the lead role in his film. His third film Kaamuki was released in 2018, and currently he is working for the film, Jeem Boom Ba.

Askar Ali was born on 6 January 1993 in Thodupuzha, Idukki district, Kerala. Following his elder brother Asif Ali’s footsteps, Askar too landed in Malayalam films as an actor. Asif is already a well-established star of Malayalam cinema, and Askar is currently trying to find a position for himself. Though Honey Bee 2.5 was his first signed project, the movie which got first theatre release was Chembarathipoo in 2017. He played the role of Vinod in Arun Vaiga’s directorial venture. Honey Bee 2.5 was directed by Shyju Anthikkad, and Askar played the role of Vishnu in this movie. The movie opened to average and good reviews.

His title role in Honey Bee 2.5 was a perfect launch pad for a budding actor. He plays the role of Vishnu who dreams to become an actor, and thus it draws lines of similarity with his real life too. The film was appreciated for trying something new. Honey Bee 2 actors Balu Varghese, Bhavana, Asif and Baburaj, its director Jean Paul Lal also appeared in the film.
