Ashwin Mushran Biography

Ashwin Mushran is an actor, salsa dancer and voice actor who works most in Bollywood movies. His most noted appearance is as Hari Desai, who sends his father to old age home in 2006 blockbuster comedy - Lage Raho Munna Bhai. Other noted roles include Quick Gun Murugun (2009), Life in a Metro (2007), One, Two, Three (2008), Ek Chalis Ki Last Local (2007), Krazzy 4 (2008), Kambakkht Ishq (2009) and Fashion (2008). He has also worked as a voice actor and has done more than 300 television commercials and a few movies in English, Hindi and Chinese languages. He is the Official Hindi dub-over voice artist for Adam Sandler and Takeshi Kaneshiro. He has also popularized Salsa in Mumbai metro, he is also an expert in this dance form.

Ashwin was born on May 19, 1972 in UK to a German mother and Kashmiri father. But he was brought up in India. He studied at the Doon School, Dehradun and later took degree from Hindu College in English literature. He then studied acting at the Drama Studio London. He started his career doing commercials and later became popular on television hosting the show, The Great Indian Comedy Show. He has also deep association with theatre and stage plays since college days. As a film actor, his most noted roles are Fashion, Life in a Metro and Lage raho Munnabhai.

After completing his studies, he took theatre seriously and worked with profound theatre groups like Lilette Dubey's Prime Time theatre group and grear theatre director Faizal Alkazi. Then he joined Drama Studio in London to study the art of acting. He completed a post-graduate diploma in Performing Arts. But it was not easy for him to get good opportunities in London and he returned back to India where he got settled with Bollywood, theatre and dubbing artist roles.
