Ashu Sharma Biography 
Ashu Sharma is a film and television actor, known for playing supporting roles. He has played brief character roles in Bollywood films like Amitabh Bachchan starrer Teen Patti and Rani Mukerji starrer No One Killed Jessica. He essayed the pivot role of Satyendra Rajendra Bharadwaj on the Colors TV’s one of the longest running show Sasural Simar Ka from its initial episode to the final episode for around 7 years. This role made him a household name among TV viewers of Hindi entertainment. Currently he is playing Role of Amrish in Serial Laado 2, soap opera on Colors TV. He was also a part of Indo-Canadian feature film – Surkhaab. He is a theatre artist too, known as a stage actor and director.
Ashu Sharma was born on 26 May 1982 in Patiala, Punjab. He holds a Master’s degree in Dramatics from Panjab University. He has been a theater artist in his hometown before he moved to Mumbai to pursue a career in films. He also gained some good meaty roles in Teen Patti, No One Killed Jessica etc, before he settled down with television shows. He also directed a few plays, one of them being Ad Maker. In this play, he played the lead role of Abhay, an ad-maker, who wants to be a film-maker. Aditi Khanna played Ashu’s wife in this play.
Ashu, with lots of experience in theater believes that Chandigarh is a good place for theater. The actor wants to make a place of his own, quite different from the super stars of big screen. He played the brief role of a Canadian boy in box office hit and acclaimed movie, Dev D, new version of classic Devdas. Among his television roles, Sasural Simar Ka is most popular.
