Asha Saini Biography

Asha Saini is an actress of Telugu cinema. She debut film industry in the year 1999 with the movie, Prema Kosam and has worked in more than 50 films till now. She has also appeared in Kannada and Tamil films, though a few. She has appeared aside many leading south Indian actors like Rajinikanth, Prabhu, Karthik, Balakrishna, Venkatesh and Jagapati Babu. Most recently she has made a cameo appearance in blockbuster hit of Salman Khan – Debaang too. She has also acted in Bollywood movies like Love in Nepal and Bharat Bhagya Vidhata.

Asha’s real name is Flora Saini and she was born in Chandigarh on 29 September 1978. Her father is an army officer. Her schooling was done at Udhampur, Jammu and Kashmir and later completed at Delhi. Her family moved to Kolkata where she started her modelling career. She participated at the Miss Kolkata beauty pageant contest. In 1999, she landed in South Indian movies with Telugu movie, Prema Kosam. The film producer of her first film rechristened her as Asha Saini. Though she changed the name to Mayuri later hearing an astrologer’s advice, later reverted the name back to Asha Saini. Later she appeared in supporting roles in numerous movies.

A few of Telugu movies are Antha Mana Manchike, Manasunna Maraju, Chala Bagundi, Cheppalani Vundi, Sardukupodam Randi, Timepass, Akka Bavekkada, Navvuthu Bathakalira, narasimha Naidu, Prematho Raa, Rowdy sheeter, Subhakaryam, O Chinnadana, Nuvvu Naaku Nachav, Adrustam, Sontham, 143, Michael Madana Kamaraju, Swagatham, Chedugudu, Junction, Aa Intlo, Broker, Comedy Express, Money Money, More Money and Ottesi Chebuthunna. She has acted in Kannada movies – Kodandarama, Giri, Vismaya Pramaya and Vah Re Vah. In March 2008, she was arrested in Chennai for supposedly having forged visa documents. She was banned from Tamil industry though it was reverted later.
