Arvinder Singh Soin Biography 
Arvinder Singh Soin, shortly called Dr. A. S. Soin is a famous physician and surgeon from Gurgaon, India. He is a pioneer of liver transplant in India and has been recognized internationally. Currently he serves as the Chief Hepatobiliary and Liver Transplant Surgeon and Chairman of Medanta Institute of Liver Transplantation and Regenerative Medicine, Medanta-The Medicity, Gurgaon. He has published more than 110 research papers and also the editor of India’s first comprehensive book in the field called “Liver Transplantation”. He was honored with Padma Shri in the year 2010 for his significant contributions towards Indian medical science and liver transplantation. He has also received many honours like RD Birla Award for the Best Clinician of the Year, Swasth Bharat Samman Award for excellence in Medicine, Medical Statesman of the Year 2010 and many more.
As a pioneer of liver transplants in India he established Sir Ganga Ram Hospital in between 2001 and 2010. In June 2010 he moved to Medanta-The Medicity, Gurgaon – one of the biggest hospitals of India with good facilities in this field, where more than 250 liver transplants and hundreds of liver and biliary tract surgeries are conducted. Arvinder Singh Soin has conducted more than 1000 liver transplant surgeries till now, which is the recorded as the highest in India and second highest across the world. He also trains a team to perform liver transplant surgeries.
He has spent more than 21 years extensively in the fields of Liver Transplant and Hepatobiliary surgery. He has also published many research papers in this field. He currently serves as the Chief Hepatobiliary and Liver Transplant Surgeon of Medanta Institute of Liver Transplantation and Regenerative Medicine, Gurgaon.
