Arjun Punj Biography

Arjun Punj is a popular actor associated with Bollywood and Hindi soaps. He is married to popular actress, Gurdeep Kohli, his co-star from his most popular series – Sanjivani – A Medical Boon. They together have also acted in the series, Diya Aur Baati Hum (2014) and participated in the reality dance show – Nach baliye. Arjun played noted roles in Bollywood films – Tere Liye, Time Pass and One Two Three. Made his television debut as Dr. Arman in Sanjivani, he was later seen in the television series, Saathii Re, Woh Rehne Waali Mehlon Ki, Diya Aur Baati Hum etc. Diya Aur Baati Hum marked his comeback to television in a cameo role, where he shared screen space with his wife after many years.

 

He was born in Mumbai in 1982. He is a Punjabi. He made his acting debut through 2001 Bollywood film – Tere Liya, which bombed at box office. He also did two Telugu films and stayed in Hyderabad for a short period before he moved back to Mumbai. He made his television debut through Sanjivani in 2003, where he portrayed the role of Arman. He played a negative guy onscreen while Gurdeep Kohli played female lead. Later they got married in 2006 and the couple has two children. They have worked together for an episodic on Arjun. While active in television, he managed to get a few Bollywood film roles like Time Pass and One Two Three. Yet he failed to get a major break in Bollywood.

 

In 2005, he played the title role of Prince Raj Goyal in Woh Rehne Waali Mehlon Ki. The show was successfully aired for 4 years. Reena Kapoor played the female lead. Though he gained popularity through the less number of roles on television, his concentration to get more film roles have somewhat affected his television career. He also tried business during this time.
