Arjun Kapikad Biography

Arjun Kapikad is a popular south Indian actor associated with Tulu cinema. He also appears in Kannada films. He plays lead roles and currently one of the most sought lead heroes of Tulu film industry. He is the son of well-known cine personality, Devadas Kapikad, known as a director, screenwriter, singer, lyricist and actor of Tulu films. Devadas Kapikad is a well-known theatre personality too. Arjun marked his film debut with 2012 film, Telikeda Bolli. In 2015 he won Tulu Cinemotsava Awards for Best Emerging Actor and Best Actor (Public choice) for Rang. His debut film Telikeda Bolli bagged him Best Actor award in Red FM Tulu Film Awards 2014.

As of now, he has appeared in a dozen of Tulu movies, and his most recent release, Yera Ullerge (2018) was directed by his father. In fact Arjun played lead role in four Tulu movies directed by his father - Yera Ullerge, Are Marler, Barsa and Chandi Kori. His other Tulu releases include - Telikeda Bolli, Rang, Oriyan Thoonda Oriyagapuji, Dhand, Karne etc. He also appeared in Kannada films - Madhura Swapna in a lead role and Mugulu Nage in a cameo role.

Arjun D Kapikad was born on 2 February 1990 in Mangalore, Karnataka. Belonging to a family with strong film and art background, it was obvious Arjun too joined film stream. Since 2012 he works in full swing in Tulu film industry, and has delivered many hit films, mostly directed by his father Devadas Kapikad, a well-known cine and theatre personality. He is married to Kavya Kapikad.
