Arindam Chatterjee Biography

Arindam Chatterjee is a singer and music composer from Bengal. He predominantly works in Bengali cinema as a musician and playback singer. He has also associated with Bangladeshi artists for Dhaka Attack. He is associated with music composition since 2012, and Bojhena Shey Bojhena was his first break to films. "Bhutu Bhaijaan" from Haami is one of his major hit songs. Arindam has worked with almost all leading playback singers of present-day generation such as Atif Aslam, Vishal Dadlani and Raftaar Chatterjee. Fida and Haami are his most recent releases in 2018, and his work in both these films was well-appreciated.

 

Arindam Chatterjee, the very popular music composer and singer from Bengali cinema hails from Kolkata, West Bengal. He got his first break to films through 2012 film, Bojhena Shey Bojhena directed by Raj Chakroborty. Indraadip Dasgupta provided the background score, and composed a few songs as well. Arindam composed 5 songs for the album. He reused two songs - "Na Re Na" and "Bhogobaan" from the original Tamil soundtrack of Engaeyum Eppothum, while composed fresh tunes for Kothin and Saajna. He also composed reprised version of Saajna song. The album was a super hit and his work got noticed. Most of the songs were chartbusters.

 

Since then in a career spanning to seven years, he composed many memorable tunes to Bengali cinema. He collaborated with Dhaka Attack for a single featuring Bushra Shahriar, which was very popular. He later composed songs for the movies - Bangla Naache Bhangra, Atletico de Kolkata, Bindaas, Borbaad, Amanush 2, Shudhu Tomari Jonyo, Gangster, One, Bolo Dugga Maiki, Cockpit, Haami and Fidaa. Generation Ami and Prem Amar 2 are his upcoming releases.
