Aqsa Bhatt Biography

Aqsa Bhatt is a model and an actress from Kashmir, who works in south Indian movies. Most recently she was seen in a pivot role in Malayalam hit – Dileep starrer ‘Life of Josutty’, where she appeared in a double role of fictional characters of angel and devil (good and bad). She was quite noticed for that double role, which she acted in both extremes. She is a newcomer who made entry to celluloid in 2015 and has appeared in 4 movies so far - Life of Josutty’, Preetiyalli Shahja, Game and Oru Melliya Kodu, belonging to Malayalam, Kannada and Tamil respectively. She has also appeared in several TV ads since teens.

She was born and brought up in Srinagar. She was born in 1994 to Maharaj Krishan Bhatt and Jeeta Bhatt. Her father is into handloom business and her mother is a homemaker. She has one elder brother too, who has completed engineering. After schooling she moved to Bangalore, where she completed graduation in Audiology from Radiance College. Her modelling career started at a very young age of 14 and she has also appeared in several TV ads till now.

Aqsa is a popular face in Kannada films and advertisement world. Her first movie was released in 2015. Male Baruv Munna directed by Ratnaja was her debut movie. Later she appeared in Game and Oru Melliya Kodu, before she starred in ‘Life of Josutty’, directed by Jeethu Joseph of ‘Drishyam’ fame. Her entry to Malayalam movies was quite unexpected. She was shooting in Wyanad for a Kannada movie, when some of the crew members of Life of Josutty spotted her. Though she was reluctant to accept the role at first, as she doesn’t has any dialogues to say and was a supporting role, she accepted the role after knowing that the movie is directed by Jeethu Joseph of ‘Drishyam’ fame. Though a small role, it’s a very rare fantasy role and her character was only supposed to emote according to the character’s emotion. Quite surprising is that even audience couldn’t identify that both the angel and devil were donned by the same artist.
