Aparshakti Khurana Biography

Aparshakti Khurana is a radio jockey, actor and television host, best known for playing Aamir Khan’s nephew in Bollywood blockbuster, Dangal in 2016. The movie marked his Bollywood debut as an actor. Prior to his entry to Bollywood films, he earned recognition as a radio jockey and television host. He is the younger brother of popular actor and TV host Ayushmann Khurrana. Aparshakti Khurana is currently hosting the show You Have Been Warned on Discovery Channel India.

 

Aparshakti hails from Chandigarh. His father P Khurrana is an astrologer from Chandigarh and his elder brother Ayushmann Khurrana is a very popular Bollywood actor, singer and TV host. Aparshakti spent his childhood and college days in Chandigarh itself, where he completed his education. Aparshakti Khurana started his professional career working as a radio jockey before he switched on to television as an anchor. He got his first break to Bollywood to essay the elder cousin brother of Fatima Sana Shaikh and Sanya Malhotra in Dangal. His role as Omkar got recognized, and he bagged a few more Bollywood roles in supporting roles.

 

Though Dangal was his first film break, he was seen in a small role in Saat Uchakkey in a less significant role. The movie got released prior to Dangal. Saat Uchakkey went unnoticed, his role too. In 2017 he portrayed the supporting role of Bhushan in super hit film, Badrinath Ki Dulhania starring Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhat. He hosted the show, Super Night with Tubelight and was also seen in the webseries, Yo Ke Hua Bro in the role of Mahendra. He currently hosts the religious musical game show, Om Shanti Omon Star Bharat for the past few months. He also hosts the show - You Have Been Warned on Discovery Channel India.
