Aparna Vastarey Biography

Aparna Vastarey is an actress, a television presenter, VJ and a former radio jockey from Bangalore, Karnataka. She is a very popular face of Kannada television, whose association began with Doordarshan in the 1990s. She presented many shows for DD Chandana in the 1990s. She had a brief stint with Kannada cinema and worked in a few movies in 1980s, though not successful. Now active with mini screen, she participated in Bigg Boss Kannada 1 in 2013, and became a part of the sketch comedy show Majaa Talkies in 2015.  Currently she appears in the sequel of the show since 2018, and the show is titled - Majaa Talkies Super Season. She plays the character of Varalakshmi in the show.

Aparna Vastarey is best known as Aparna in Kannada entertainment industry. Aparna made her feature film debut in Puttanna Kanagal's 1984 film, Masanada Hoovu. She played supporting role in the film. Later she acted in Kannada films like Inspector Vikram, Nammoora Raja and Ondaagi Balu in the late 1980s. In 1993 she joined All India Radio, and worked as a Radio Jockey. Prior to her career in AIR, she joined Kannada Doordarshan in the year 1990 and presented many shows throughout 1990s.

Apart from presenting TV shows, she has also acted in soap dramas such as Moodala Mane and Mukta. Yet her active career in second innings began with the first season of Bigg Boss Kannada where she appeared as a participant. Since 2015, she is a part of the comedy show, Majaa Talkies playing the character role of Varalakshmi. The first season of the show ended in 2017. The show became so popular that the second season has already begun in 2018.
