Anusha Rai Biography

Anusha Rai is an upcoming actress associated with south Indian movies, predominantly in Kannada film industry. She is also doing Tamil television serials. The show is titled Ithu Enna Kadhal and to be telecasted in Sri Lankan channels. Currently she is doing two Kannada movies. First one is titled Karshanam. It is suspense thriller where she does the role of crime journalist and reporter. The second film is BMW, and the movie is slated to release this year. Started off her career with television shows, she marked her debut with Mahanubavaru, and as of now she has been a part of three Sandalwood projects.

Anusha Rai is quite popular as a television actress and Naagakannike is her most famous role. The show was aired on Colors Super TV in 2017. She marked her debut with Mahanubavaru in 2017, co-starring Gokul Raj, Priyanka, and Balachander, and she played parallel lead. The movie was directed by newcomer Sindhanur Sandeep Nagalikar. Very soon she bagged two more projects in Sandalwood – Karshanam & BMW, and both the movies are slated to release this year.

Anusha plays the role of a crime journalist in the movie – Karshanam, directed by Saravana. The film has debutante Dananjay Atre in the lead role. It’s a murder mystery with a love story and expected to be suspense thriller. In Karshanam, she shares screen space with actors Srinivas Murthy, Vijay Chend and Gautham Manamohan. The actress now keeps a balance between her television career and film career, and plans to do movies in other south Indian languages too. Anusha completed her engineering course, and was learning music at Hamasalekha music school when she got opportunities in showbiz from one of her friends.
