Anubha Sourya Sarangi Biography

Anubha Sourya Sarangi is a noted actress associated with Odia films at present. She is the daughter of actress Puspa Panda. She has made brief appearances in Bollywood movies too. She started her film career with 2011 Odia film, Mun Premi Mun Pagala followed by her Hindi debut in 2014 through the movie, Kaun Kitne Paani Mein in a brief role. She did three Odia movies in 2016 - Samaya Bada Balaban, Sweet Heart and Revenge. Bajrangi in 2017 was her last release. The movie was a hit at box office and she received appreciation for her performance.  She is a trained Odissi dancer, who has performed in many dance festivals in the country.

 

Anubha Sourya hails from Bhubaneswar, Orissa. She was born into a family with filmy background. Her mother Puspa Panda has worked in films, currently active in the industry playing supporting roles. Tu Mo Arambha Tu Mo Sesha (2012), Mane Rahiba E Prema Kahani (2011) and Rock Star (2015) are Pushpa’s noted works in the recent past. Her father Lalatendu Narayan Sarangi is an engineer by profession. Anubha hails from hillside village Ranapur in Khurda. She holds a B. Tech degree Silicon Institute of Technology, Bhubaneswar, and is also a trained classical dancer in Odissi, who is known for her live performances in the recent times.

 

As a film actress, she entered the field in 2011 with the support of her family. Mun Premi Mun Pagala was her debut movie as an actress. After that she has done one Hindi film and four Oriya films. After her debut she took a break from the Odia industry. She returned after a hiatus of 5 years and is active in film scene since then.
