Ankush Hazra Biography

Ankush Hazra is one of the youngest sensations of Tollywood – Bengali cinema. He made his acting debut with the movie, Kellafate, opposite actress Rupashree in 2010 which was an average movie at box office. It was followed by Idiot, opposite Srabanti Chatterjee which was again an average. Kanamachi opposite Srabanti Chatterjee and Khiladi opposite Nusrat Jahan, both produced under Eskay Movies banner were his 2013 releases and both the movies performed average at the box office. Boss 2 and Ami Sudhu Tomakey Valobesesi opposite Subhashree Ganguly are his upcoming movies and both these movies are to get released in 2014. He works aside superstar Jeet in the sequel of Boss. He is known as an excellent dancer and received Big Bangla Rising Star Award for Best Dancer (Male) at 2011 Big Bangla Rising Star Awards.

 

Ankush was born in Badamtala in Bardhaman on Valentine’s Day of 1989. He studied in Holy Rock School and East West Model School from his hometown Bardhaman. Since childhood he desired to become an actor. Though he got a chance to study Electronic engineering in Durgapur, he came to Kolkata to fulfill his dreams as an actor.  He learnt acting from an acting school at Bhowanipore and learnt dance from renowned dance choreographer Baba Yadav. Besides acting, now he is studying BBA at The Heritage Academy in Kolkata.

 

He groomed himself to become a good actor and debut big screen with the movie, Kellafate in 2010. He was paired opposite another debutant Rupashree. The movie was released with high publicity and great hype was given to the new comer, Ankush. The movie was not a big hit as expected. It was an average hit and he got instant fame through the dance steps he performed in the movie.
