Anju Kurian Biography

Anju Kurian is a Malayalam film actress, associated with Malayalam film scene since 2013. She marked her film debut with Neram in 2013, where she played the brief role of Mathew's sister (played onscreen by Nivin Pauley), and was seen in two more films of Nivin Pauley in a row - Ohm Shanthi Oshaana and Premam. She got big break through 2016 film Kavi Uddheshichathu in a lead role, and received a handful of film roles after that. In 2018 she got yet another good role through Fahadh starrer Jnan Prakasan. In 2017 she marked her Tamil film debut through Chennai 2 Singapore.

Anju Kurian hails from Kottayam, Kerala. Her schooling was completed at different schools like Excelsior Public School Illickal, Don Bosco High School Puthuppally, Mount Carmel Girls Higher Secondary School Kanjikuzhy and Good Sheperd Public School Thengana. She later graduated in Architectural Engineering from Chennai and also did fashion designing course. She was into fashion designing field before she switched to acting field.

This tall girl played Vineeth Srinivasan’s love interest and later, his wife in the movie, Ohm Shanthi Oshaana. She played the female lead of 'Kavi Udheshichathu' – Jasmine, which was her first big break in Malayalam films. She was offered a few good roles in Tollywood earlier, but had to decline them due to language barrier. But now she has accepted one movie in a lead role opposite Sumanth. Most recently she was seen as Shruthi in 2018 Malayalam comedy entertainer, Njan Prakashan, co-starring Fahadh Fasil, and her role got noticed. Now she has a handful of movies in her hand - Jeem Boom Ba, Naan Seidha Kurumbu, Shibu, Idam Jagat etc.
