Anjori Alagh Biography

Anjori Alagh is an Indian model and actress, better known as the daughter of Maya Alagh – noted cine artist, known for television work also. Anjori made her film debut in 2007 with Vikram Bhatt’s Life Mein Kabhie Kabhiee, where she played one among the 5 college friends who promises to meet after 5 years, to find the most happy person among them. She played the role of Ishita Sharma who traps a business tycoon and gives news to the leading gossip magazine ‘Scandal’. She played the pivot role of Gayatri, who traps the British spy in the 2008 Indian horror film, 1920. This movie too was directed by Vikram Bhatt and was a commercial success. This movie proved to be the breakthrough role of her acting career. In 2009, she appeared in English movie – Fame. NDTV Imagine serial Seeta Aur Geeta is her noted television work.

 

Anjori Alagh was born on May 20, 1981 as the daughter of noted television actress, Maya Alagh. Her father Sunil Alagh is a business executive who is the former Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Britannia Industries. Her sister Sawari is married to Sameer Nair, CEO of NDTV. Anjori started her modelling career at the age of 4, when she appeared in television ads of Maggi and Kodak in the golden days of Doordarshan. She was active in television commercial till the age of 10 and later concentrated on to her studies. She completed economics and business management in Ohio, US.

 

Once she returned to India, she joined Kishore Namit Kapoor's Acting Academy. She was guided by her mother at a younger age. In fact, she was introduced to film maker Vikram Bhatt by her mother. She was most recently seen in NDTV Imagine serial Seeta Aur Geeta.
