Anitha Karthikeyan Biography 
Anitha Karthikeyan is a playback singer associated with south Indian film industry. She predominantly works in Tamil film industry, and has also done Telugu, Kannada, Hindi and Malayalam projects. She has worked with Ilaiyaraja, A. R. Rahman, Devi Sri Prasad, Imman, Mani Sharma and almost all leading composers of south Indian film industry. Anitha has the popular Sun TV music show "Sapthaswarangal" in 1995, and became Best Female Singer Junior. Later too she won many reality shows on music on Tamil television such as “Humma Humma” for Raj TV, "Aboorva Ragangal" in Jaya TV (2000), “Rajageetham" in Raj TV (2001), "Viewer's Choice Super Singer" in Airtel Super Singer Season 1 for Vijay TV (2006) etc.
Anitha Karthikeyan is a trained Carnatic singer from Chennai, who started appearing in reality shows since very young. She came to limelight for the first time winning the singing talent hunt show "Sapthaswarangal" for Sun TV in 1995, where she was chosen as Best Female Singer Junior. Since then for the next 11 years, she participated in numerous singing shows for television, winning half a dozen titles. Anitha got the first break to playback singing through Marudhamalai in 2007. D. Imman gave her the first break through the title song in two versions, and the film’s success too helped her to earn more opportunities from Tamil cinema.
Later she received singing offers from other south Indian language films too. Yet she mostly associated with Tamil cinema. Puli, Uthama Villain, Kakki Sattai, Megha etc are among her noted works in Tamil cinema. Iddarammayilatho, Mirchi, Sri Rama Rajyam, Ontari, Gundello Godari etc are among her noted Telugu works. She has also done back vocals for a few Tamil and Hindi projects of A. R. Rahman.
