Anisa Butt Biography

Anisa Butt is an Indian television and film actress, born in London, UK. She is to make Bollywood debut with a group of newcomers in Shuja Ali’s upcoming movie Baat Bann Gayi aside Amrita Raichand, Razak Khan and Akshay Singh. She started her career as a child artist in the television show Ishaan telecasted on Disney Channel India. She has done a bit role in 2013 blockbuster, Yeh jawani hai diwani and has also done a cameo appearance in Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara as Kalki Koechlin’s sister Tanya. She comes from theater background and has performed in India and London for Canvas Laugh Factory, Palladium, Saurabh Aggarwal Productions- Utter Cupidity, and Kitty Kitty Bang Bang.

She is a London born, Indian Television and Film artist. She graduated from Queen Mary’s University of London with a B.A. in Drama (Performance). Dance is her passion and she has preformed dance and drama at Royal Albert hall. She didn’t take any formal lessons in dancing. Yet she has performed and has taught many students. She has also done some choreographic works. She attended Kevin Spacey’s workshop at The Old Vic Theater. Her small screen debut happened in the year 2010 with Disney Channel India’s show Ishaan as Shyla. Later she played cameo appearance in Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara and Yeh jawani hai deewani. She was seen aside Shahrukh Khan in an advertisement for Navratna Oil. Parachute body lotion and Dixcy Scott thermals are other ads in which she appeared.

Acting is her passion and she grew up watching Bollywood movies. She plays the role of Rachna in her upcoming movie - Baat Bann Gayi where she is paired with Ali Fazal. She has been a showstopper for Riddhi for 2 years in row for tassle, sponsored by Gitanjali.
