Anirudh Thapa Biography 
Anirudh Thapa is an Indian professional footballer who hails from Dehradun, Uttarakhand. He plays primarily as a Center midfielder for his team. He is a member of National team since 2017 who also plays for Indian Super League - professional football league in India, and currently a member of Chennaiyin in ISL. He has previously played for several football clubs of India such as AIFF Elite Academy and Minerva Punjab, and he got into professional career since 2016. He has played in India U17, U19, U23 and National team since year 2012. He has made 16 appearances for team India scoring one goal too.
Anirudh Thapa hails from Dehradun, Uttarakhand. He was born on 15 January 1998. While doing his schooling at St. Joseph's Academy, he also played football for his school team. Since the age of 10 he has been playing football for St. Stephen's Football Academy in Chandigarh. During 2012-2014, he was a member of India U-14 team. Thapa was selected to join the AIFF Regional Academy in Kalyani in 2012, and after that he rose to higher positions and has played for national team in international matches at a very young age.
He served as the captain of I-League U19 while he was serving as a member of AIFF Elite Academy. In 2016 he was signed by Chennaiyin to play for elite ISL tournament and he is associated with the same club for the past three years. He has made 29 appearances for Chennaiyin in total, scoring two goals. He plays as a central midfield for the team at present. Thapa signed with Minerva Punjab of the I-League on loan for the 2016–17 season, and he made 14 appearances in this season.
