Anil K. Reji Biography

Anil K. Reji is a budding actor associated with Malayalam screen, who has portrayed both lead and supporting roles. After playing noted supporting roles in Idukki Gold and Puthiya Niyamam, he got his first lead role through Kaly released in 2018. The movie produced under the banner of August Cinemas has five young men in the lead and Anil is one among them. The movie also gave big break to Shebin Benson who also mark his lead role debut with this film, and both these actors marked their acting debut with 2013 film, Idukki Gold directed by Ashique Babu, where both were seen essaying the childhood roles of its actors, Maniyanpilla Raju and Babu Antony. The movie was a hit and received good reviews. Quite incidentally both the actors mark their acting debut and lead role debut with the same films.

Anil K Reji was born in Kochi, Kerala as the son of Reji Koshy and Marina Reji. He has one elder sister who works as a designer. He completed his schooling from Nava Nirman Senior secondary school, Kakkanad and later completed Mechanical engineering from Mar Baselios Institute of technology and science (MBITS) in 2016. After his engineering degree he pursued his career in Malayalam films.

While doing his engineering course, he attended audition for Idukki Gold in 2013, and got shortlisted. He got his debut role to play the younger version of Babu Antony. Very soon he got opportunity to star in Mammootty-Nayanthara starrer, Puthiya Niyamam, and the movie was also dubbed in Telugu as Vasuki. Apart from doing films, he has been a part of several ad campaigns and has been featured in a few ads as well. Fashion at Big Bazaar, Pepsi etc are some of the ads in which he appeared aside celebrities.
