Anamika Choudhari Biography

Anamika Choudhari is an Indian singer from Assam. She belongs to a Bengali family. She shot to instant fame after winning the first season of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa L'il Champs International in 2008 aired on ZEE TV and hosted by Aditya Narayan. She later participated in many reality shows like Chota Packet Bada Dhamaka, where she secured 4th position. She was also seen in Hero Honda SaReGaMaPa Mega Challenge representing Assam, and she appeared along with Abhigyan Das and Joy Chakraborty. The team reached till semi-finals.

 

Anamika Choudhari was born on 7 July 1994 in Mariani, Assam to Bengali parents. Her name is also spelled as Anamika Chaudhary. She is trained in Hindustani music since young and she got success at a very young age. She remained one of the top contenders for the first season of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa L'il Champs International in 2008 and she was voted as the winner in the final episode. She beat Rohanpreet Singh and Tanmay Chaturvedi in the finals and was way ahead in terms of votes. Tanmay Chaturvedi later went on to become a successful singer. She was one among the lakhs of contestants from 6 different countries and finished as winner. Bollywood music stars as Penaz Masani and Anand Bakshi were present when Choudhari won the L'il Champs competition.

 

She was studying in class 7 at Edith Douglas School when she won L'il Champs competition. Since young she has been inspired a lot from her parents, who promote her singing career as well. Her mother’s name is Subrataa Choudhari, and father’s name is Dilip Choudhari. She has one sister named Dipshikha Choudhari. She daily practises music for two hours since young. Suresh Wadkar and Lata Mangeshkar are her favourite singers.
