Anaika Soti Biography

Anaika Soti is an Indian film actress, who played the lead role Chitra in the sequel of Satya - Satya 2 in 2013. It happened to be her debut movie and she appeared in both its version – Telugu and Hindi, directed by Ram Gopal Varma. Then she appeared in Vasanthabalan's Tamil period film Kaaviya Thalaivan (2014) in the role of Princess Rangamma, for which she received a nomination at Filmfare for best debut female and Telugu movie – 365 Days (2015). Both her Telugu releases were directed by Ram Gopal Varma, the director known for launching new heroines.

Anaika Soti was born on 14 January 1993 in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. At the age of 4 her family was shifted to Hong Kong. Later she moved to Mumbai to complete her school education and moved to Malaysia to do a diploma course in fashion designing. She returned back to India and RGV happened to meet her at an elevator. Ram Gopal Varma impressed by her looks asked her to join film industry though she was not convinced.  Later he called her for his next film – Satya 2, the sequel of cult classic Satya which she duly signed. She was excited to be a part of the sequel. But once the movie was released, she received negative response from critics and the movie too, failed at box office.

But her second release - Vasanthabalan's Tamil period film Kaaviya Thalaivan (2014) gave her a promising debut in Tamil film industry. She signed the film while working for her debut movie. She was paired with Siddharth and the music was composed by A. R. Rahman. The actress idolizes Deepika Padukone, who is her personal favourite. She loves to work with Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh, and is a passionate dancer.
