Amith Chakalakkal Biography

Amith Chakalakkal is a film actor associated with Malayalam cinema, best known for supporting and comic roles. His supporting role in 2013 hit movie Honey Bee earned him instant fame. Amith Chakalakkal was first featured in an album, 'Atma’, when he was filmed along with Pushpa Mathew for the song, "Mounam Melle". His role as Nizam Rawther in highly acclaimed Iyobinte Pusthakam (2014) was also well appreciated. As of now, he has appeared in more than a dozen of Malayalam films, the most recent one being Kayamkulam Kochunni.

Amith Chakalakkal hails from Kochi, Kerala. He was born on 13 August 1985. His schooling was completed in Kochi, and later he completed his engineering degree. He first came to limelight after he became a part of TV reality show, "Mammootty The Best Actor Award” aired on Asianet. He began his modelling career. Then he appeared in an album song of Atma. In 2010 he appeared in an uncredited role in National award winning Mammootty movie, Kutty Srank.

He received his first credited role through comedy romantic drama, Honey Bee in 2013. His role as Martin, a rough and tough guy in this film is his first credited role. Later he was seen in supporting roles in Hi I'm Tony, Sapthamashree Thaskaraha, Iyobinte Pusthakam, Lal Bahadur Shastri, Kolumittayi, Honey Bee 2: Celebrations, C/O Saira Banu, Honeybee 2.5, Melle, Kayamkulam Kochunni etc. Vaarikuzhiyile Kolapathakam is his upcoming flick. He acted with Jayasurya in two movies back-to-back, Iyobinte Pusthakam and Lal Bahadur Shastri. His role as drunkard Prince in C/O Saira Banu got noticed. The actor is passionate about bikes and is into racing.
