Aly Morani Biography

Aly Morani is a film producer from Bollywood. He is the brother of Mohammed Morani and Karim Morani, who are also film producers of Bollywood. Bollywood actress Lucky Morani is his sister-in-law. Aly Morani is a co-owner and one of the founders of Cineyug, an entertainment company that dabbles in film production, live performances, award shows etc. It has organized world tours apart from live award functions like Filmfare Awards, Zee Cine Awards, Screen Awards, Big Star Entertainment Awards etc. Karim is also a co-owner of this film production company. As a film producer, he is best known for the movie, Raja Hindustani, the biggest grosser of 1996.

 

Aly Morani hails from Mumbai, Maharashtra, and all his siblings are associated with Bollywood, best known for producing films. He is married to Yasmin Aly Morani and the couple has two daughters. Aly started off as an executive producer in the mid-1980s. He served as the executive producer of Arjun starring Sunny Deol. He turned a film producer with Vardi in 1989 starring Dharmendra and Sunny Deol. He produced Damini – Lightning aside his brother Karim Morani, and Bunty Soorma. Thus he worked with Sunny Deol in a row of three films. In fact his brother Karim too started off his film career as a producer with Sunny Deol starre Yodha in 1991. Damini was a box office. Dum, Raja Hindustani and Dushmani: A Violent Love Story (starring Sunny Deol) are the movies he co-produced later.

 

His brother Karim Morani remained a controversial person because of 2G spectrum case, a rape case in 2017 and his issues with underworld don Ravi Pujari. Yet he is best known for co-producing some of the big movies of SRK such as Chennai Express, Ra. One, Dilwale and Happy New Year. Karim is also SRK’s business partner.
