Akshay Kumar Biography 
Akshay Kumar is an Indian film actor and producer and has appeared in more than hundred Hindi films. He started his career in 1990 and acted in many action films. He is noted for his participation in the Khiladi series that include Khiladi, Sabse Bada Khiladi, Khiladiyon Ka Khiladi, Khiladi 420 and many other action films like Mohra.
He was born on 9th September 1967 in Amritsar in Punjab. He grew up in Delhi’s Chandni Chowk and then moved to Mumbai. He studied at Don Bosco School and then attended Guru Nanak Khalsa College and there he participated in sports with Janpal Singh. He obtained black belt in Taekwondo and he is a martial artist. He worked as a chef and waiter in Thailand. He returned back to Mumbai and started his career as a martial arts teacher.
He started to do modeling and then acted in the movie of Pramod Chakravarthy Deedar. His Bollywood career started in 1991 with the film Saugandh. His action films Main Khiladi Tu Anari and Mohra were the highest grosser of the year. He acted in the romantic film Yeh Dillagi with Yash Chopra. He received his first nominations for Best Actor in Filmfare and Star Screen awards.
He starred in the comedy film Hera Pheri and romantic film Dhadkan and both of them were successful. He played negative role in the film Ajnabee in the year 2001. This got him Filmfare Award for Best Villain. He acted as a blind man in the film Aankhen. Some of his comedy films include Awara Paagal Deewana, Mujse Shaadi Karogi and Garam Masala. He got his second Filmfare award for Best Comedian.
Some of his films include Blue, Housefull, Khatta Meetha, Action Replayy, Tees Maar Khaan, Chandni Chowk to China, Jumbo, Patiala House, Thank You, Heyy Babyy, Welcome, Tashan, Singh is Kinng, Namastey London, Deewane Huye Paagal, Dosti: Friends Forever, Family – Ties of Blood, Mere Jeevan Saathi, etc.
He dated with Shilpa Shetty and Raveena Tondon. He was engaged with Twinkle Khanna and married her on 14th January 2001. They have one son named Aarav born in September 2002. He is involved in various sports activities such as kickboxing, swimming, martial arts, etc.
