Akriti Kakar Biography 
Akriti Kakar is a successful playback singer of Bollywood who is active in the industry since 2004. Initially she released a remixed version of Prem Pujari song – Rangeela Re which became immensely popular among the youth. She went on to release her first album, and marked her playback singing debut through Dus. After staying in industry for a while, she got a major break through a couple of songs - Saturday Saturday from Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania and Iski Uski from 2 States.
Akriti Kakar was born into a family with musical background. She took initial lessons in Hindustani music from her mother, a music teacher. Her twin sisters Sukriti and Prakriti Kakkar have also established their careers in Bollywood as playback singers. Though she has been brilliant in academics, she has been dreaming about becoming a playback singer right from the age of five. She was CBSE school topper. She came to Mumbai in 2004 and released the single Rangeela Re in association with Harris Anand. Vishal-Shekhar gave her the first break through, where she sang a few lines of Chamse Woh Aajaye.
As a full-fledged singer the first break was given by Himesh Reshammiya who later served as her mentor. She also sang numerous songs for Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, and released a solo album composed by Shankar Mahadevan and herself. Khudaya Khair from Billu, Dekhoon Tujhe To Pyaar Aaye Apne from Apne, Aanan Faanan from Namastey London, Johnny Gaddaar from Johnny Gaddaar, Mohabbat Aap se from Aa Dekhen Zara etc are some of the popular songs of Kakkar. She recorded two songs for a Pakistani film in 2016, and has sung for Bengali, Punjabi and many regional language movies.
