Ajmal Ameer Biography

Ajmal Ameer is an Indian film actor who concentrates in Malayalam and Tamil film industry. He was born in Aluva in Kerala. Before he started to act in films he studied medicine and wanted to become a doctor.

He studied medicine at National Pirogov Memorial Medical University in Vinnytsia in Ukraine. He wanted to open a hospital in future. After completing his education he got married. He has one child Aalin Zeyyan. He entered film industry three months after his marriage and became an actor.

His first film was in Malayalam. He acted in Pranayakalam with Vimala Raman. After this film he acted in the Tamil film Anjathe and this was directed by Myshkin. In this film he played the role of an angry young man. This film received wide welcome and was a commercial success. He received many awards for his performance in this film.

He was starred in the Malayalam film Madambi in which he acted with Kerala Superstar Mohanlal. In this film he acted as the younger brother of Mohanlal. His role in the international production De Nova went unnoticed. In 2011 he acted in the Tamil movie Ko. In this film he took the anti-hero character of Vasanthan Perumal. This got him lots of appreciation. He is noted for lip to lip kiss in the film Karrupampati.

Some of his films include February 14 in 2005, Pranayakalam  in 2007, Anjathe and Mdambi in 2008, TN 07 AL 4777 and Thiru Thiru Thuru Thuru in 2009, De Nova, Ko and Lucky Jokers in 2010. He won Filmfare Best Tamil Supporting Actor Award and nominated for Vijay Award for Best Debut Actor for the film Anjathe.
