Ahsaas Channa Biography

Ahsaas Channa is a teenager actress who works in television and Bollywood. She is better known for her lead role as Ashu in the animated movie, My friend Ganesha 1 and 2, where she acted as a boy. She also played Shah Rukh Khan’s son’s role in Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna. Vaastushastra, Phoonk 1 and 2 are her other noted appearances in Bollywood as a boy. She has also appeared in a few Telugu movies as a child artist. Marrichettu in 2004 marked her film debut followed by Aawaham. She has also acted in one Tamil movie, Bommayi in 2009. As a small screen actress, she acted in television series - Kasamh Se, Madhubala – Ek Ishq Ek Junoon, Devon Ke Dev...Mahadev, Fear Files: Darr Ki Sacchi Tasvirein and Oye Jassie, in which she is currently acting.

Ahsaas was born as the daughter of Iqbal channa and Kulbir kaur. She started her acting career in 2004 with the Telugu movie, "Marrichettu". My friend Ganesha was one of her last appearances in movies as a child artist. Everyone believed that the 8 year old Ashu is really a boy. But it was Ahsaas who did this role and conquered everyone’s heart. Now also this animated film is children’s favourite and regularly shown on television.

But Ahsaas’ appearance in movies as a boy has invited controversies also. Even since the myth was broken that, in fact she is a girl, this news made headlines. According to news reports, her mother has always concealed her child's real identity which even prompted Ahsaas' father to file a case against his wife. Filmmakers who've worked with Ahsaas in the past confirm that they were always led to believe that Ahsaas is a boy. Currenty she is seen in Nikhil Sinha's "Devon Ke Dev Mahadev".
