Aditya Shrivastava Biography 
Aditya Shrivastava is an Indian film and television actor known for portraying character roles. He is best known for the supporting role in CID series on Sony Television. He has played supporting roles in critically acclaimed Bollywood movies like Dil Se, Satya, Matrubhoomi, Black Friday and Gulaal. He has also played supporting roles in Tamil movies like Aalwar and Naalai. ‘Dil se Pooch Kidhar Jaana Hai’ made his acting debut as a lead actor. He has also appeared in Bollywood movies like Bandit Queen, Saathiya, Ek haseena thi, Lakshya, Deewar, Raakh, Darwaaza Bandh Rakho, Hazaar Chaurasi Ki Maa, Dil pe mat le yaar, Mohandas, Kaalo, Paanch etc. However his role as Senior Inspector Abhijeet in India’s longest running detective series, CID made him a popular actor. Saturday suspense, Raat Hone Ko Hai, Adalat and Byomkesh Bakshi are other noted television appearances.
Aditya Srivastava was born on July 21, 1968 in Allahabad where he completed his education. After studies, he moved to Delhi in 1989 where he got involved with theatre plays. He worked with Sri Ram Center Of Performing Arts for a long period till film director Shekhar Kapoor spotted him in the year 1995, for his upcoming movie Bandit Queen. The movie got released the following year where he appeared in the character role of Puttilal. Very soon he was offered character roles in many Bollywood movies.
He also played the voice actor’s roles for promos and ads and in between, he became a part of an episode named "The Inheritance”, which found place in Guinness Book of World Records and Limca Book of Records for shooting the longest uncut television sequence. His real breakthrough came in the year 1999 when he was offered the role of Senior Inspector Abhijeet, the role for which he is known for. He has also been the part of the shows like Rishtey and Naya daur.
