Abigail Jain Biography

Abigail Jain is a successful television actress known for playing lead and supporting roles. She played lead role in popular TV series Humse Hai Life and Kya Dill Mein Hai and is also known for supporting roles in Sajan ghar jaana hai. Dil Se Diya Vachan, Khauff Begins - Ringa Ringa Roses, Yeh Hai Aashiqui, Kya Dill Mein Hai, Bandini and Tujh Sang Preet Lagai Sajna are other noted appearances. She has also contested in dance reality shows like Kaun Jeetege Bollywood Ka Ticket on 9X and Nachle Ve With Saroj Khan on NDTV Imagine.

Abigail Rajeev Jain was born in Mumbai in February 27, 1992. She got into small screen at a young age. Kya Dill Mein Hai (2007-2008) was her first major role in which she played the lead role of a passionate Bengali girl, Kakoon. The story portrays how she falls in love with another man after her marriage and how she breaks the traditional principles of an Indian marriage. Later she played Sia Dhillion, a boxer in Humse Hai Life, through which she became a household name.

Her father Vijay Pandey is a well-known director in the TV industry. He has worked on serials like Uttaran, Saat Phere and Ram Milaayi Jodi. Her mother has assisted noted film editor Renu Saluja before her marriage. But she quit the industry after marriage. Her sister Kimberley played Birwa on Imagine’s Bandini. She did schooling in St. Joseph’s convent in Bandra and in those days, she loved football and dance. She learnt Kathak. Later she studied in the Sophia College in Mumbai in the Arts stream. Her acting break was with Balaji Telefilms and her father has never worked with this production house. She was only 15 year old when she bagged title role in Balaji Telefilm’s Kya Dil Mein Hai.
