Abhishek Avasthi Biography

Abhishek Avasthi is an Indian actor, choreographer, dancer and model who is mostly associated with Hindi entertainment industry. He is most successful as a television actor, best known for playing Maninders Singh, Bauji's second son in the television soap, Jugni Chali Jalandhar aired on SAB TV. Zara Nach Ke Dikha, Chintu Chinki Aur Ek Badi Si Love Story and Tu Mere Agal Bagal Hai are other noted television works. He was the dancing partner of Rakhi Sawant in the third season of celebrity dance competition, Nach Baliye on the Star Plus in 2007 and they finished as first runner-ups as well.

 

Abhishek Avasthi was born in Kanpur, a large city in the state of Uttar Pradesh. Currently he lives in Mumbai, busy with his professional career. In fact he came to Mumbai for the first time in the mid-2000s to pursue a career in the entertainment industry. He was already a dancer, who wanted to try luck in films and TV shows as well.

 

He came to limelight for the first time when he formed team with controversial model-actress Rakhi Sawant in the third season of celebrity dance competition, Nach Baliye on the Star Plus. It happened in 2007. Abhishek and Rakhi dated for almost three years, before calling it quits. Their relationship also helped him to hog the limelight for a while. Abhishek impressed audience by his dance moves and also finished as a finalist and first runner-up. It helped him to bag offers from television as an actor.

 

In 2008 he appeared in the television series, Jugni Chali Jalandhar on SAB TV where he impressed audience with his character role Maninders Singh. He also appeared in a few more shows in the late 2000s before he disappeared from the scene. He got engaged to his long-time girlfriend Ankita Goswami in 2017.
