Abhirami Suresh Biography

Abhirami Suresh is a south Indian actress who predominantly works in Malayalam cinema. She is also known as a singer, composer, lyricist, television anchor etc. Playing supporting roles in movies like Keralolsavam, Gulumal, Keralanattilam Pengaludane etc, Beware of Dogs – marked her debut as lead heroine. She has also done Tamil movies too. She is also a music composer who plans to release a few devotional albums. Her elder sister Amrutha Suresh is a singer, who is married to noted Tamil actor Bala. The siblings together perform for music shows with their band - Amrutam Gamaya. Abhirami also hosts the popular show ‘Dear Kappa’ on Kappa TV. She was also seen in a supporting role in 100 Days of Love.

She was born in Perumbavur of Ernakulam district on 9 October 1995 to PR Suresh and Laila Suresh. Noted singer Amrutha Suresh is a singer who has participated in ‘Idea Star Singer 2007’ on Asianet. Tamil actor Bala is her brother-in-law.  Abhirami Suresh enjoyed imitating people since young and used to perform on TV shows. On one such show, she imitated TV anchor Renjini Haridas and composer Sharath sir, one of the judges. She was only 13 then. The video went viral and soon she got her first offer from television. It was a television serial on Asianet, ‘Hello Kuttichathan’ on Asianet, where she started off as a child artist. She made her film debut with Keralotsavam followed by Gulumaal.

Abhirami has been a performer on stage since young and never missed such opportunities. She was interested in mimics and mono acts. Music is also her passion. Kerala Nattilam Pengaludane was her debut Tamil film. She got this offer when he reached Chennai to meet her sister at a recording studio. Abhirami has also done a diploma in acting and currently busy as a TV anchor, apart from movies. Till now she has done shows on Amrita TV and We Channel. She has directed a short film as a part of her diploma course.
