Abhinav Kumar, best known as Trivago Man, is an Indian model who shot to fame after featuring in the popular ads of Trivago. His unconventional looks and body language, coupled with the strange yet compelling register of his voice lend a massive recall value to the ad of Hotel Trivago. He became an internet sensation soon after the ad went viral over net. He has appeared in different ads of same company, which frequently appears in YouTube, Hotstar and other online video sites.

Abhinav Kumar is Trivago’s country development head (India). Reportedly, he lives in Dusseldorf, Germany. He appears in an oversized coat for Trivago ad, and his moves and voice style made him a star overnight. He had no acting or modelling experiences earlier. Very often he has been compared to noted politician Nitish Kumar in his looks. Trivago India website is a platform for hotel search, and Abhinav’s screen presence has improved the brand value multiple times. Apparently, he is the only Trivago employee in an ad. The rest are all models.

When Trivago launched a new ad in 2016, they had no idea that they were gifting the Internet with their newest meme subject, and numerous memes have been created on Abhinav since then. He also achieved a celeb status in a short interval of time. He started sharing them himself and even encouraged them. He took 100 takes for the first advertisement and only 12 takes for his second one. Even on sets, he loves to speak Hindi, while the rest speak English.
