Aasif Sheikh Biography 
Aasif Sheikh is an Indian actor who appears in Hindi movies and TV shows, and he is best known for essaying character roles. His roles in sitcoms are quite popular. As an actor he gained recognition through the popular sitcom Yes Boss (TV series) which aired on SAB TV for long 10 years since 1999. He played the pivot role of Vinod Verma, the boss for the show, which became immensely popular. Currently he plays the lead role of Vibhuti Ahuti Narayan Mishra, the unemployed husband of Anita Mishra in Bhabi Ji Ghar Par Hai! , and the show is inspired from the iconic sitcom of 1990s, Sreeman Srimati. He has featured in many Bollywood movies since 1986.
Aasif Sheikh hails from Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. He got associated with Indian People's Theatre Association, Mumbai in the 1980s, and started off with minor roles in TV and Bollywood. Sheikh started his career with Hum Log, the first ever TV series of Indian television. He played the brief role of Prince Ajay Singh in the show aired during 1984-1985. He made his Hindi film debut with Aag Aur Shola in 1986 and later played character roles throughout. At the same time he was quite active in theatre and has been a part of the stage shows, Aakhri Shama, U-Turn, Kabuliwala, Simla Coffee House, Hum Deewane Hum Parwane, Ek Baar Phir and Aaall izz Well.
He returned to television in 1993 with the show, Zee Horror Show and was also a part of the popular series, Chandrakanta aired on Doordarshan. Since then he is regular in TV shows, and also played character roles on Bollywood big screen. Hassi Woh Phassi, Yug, Tanha etc are some of his TV shows. His lead role in Bhabi Ji Ghar Par Hai! earned him Best Actor (Comedy) at ITA Awards in 2016 and 2018.
