Aashritha Biography

Aashritha is an upcoming film actress of Tamil cinema, known for the movie – Orange Mittai. She played the female lead in the comedy movie, written and directed by Biju Viswanath. The movie was premiered at the 20th Busan International Film Festival. The movie also starred Vijay Sethupathi and Ramesh Thilak in the lead roles. She is a model turned actress. She has done one movie in Telugu and currently concentrating her career in Chennai. Now three untitled projects are in pipeline.

Aashritha is a Telugu girl. She was busy in modelling before her foray to films. She completed Engineering and was interested in modelling since college days. She was doing modelling in Hyderabad and got support from family too. She reached Chennai when she got opportunity to participate in Miss South India beauty pageant. She won the subtitle – Miss Beautiful Face and Miss AP First Runner-up in the pageant. That’s how she started working in Chennai.

She was called for the audition by the director Biju Viswanath after seeing her photos. Vijay Sethupathy was also present during audition and both said Ok. That’s how she got the break to Tamil films through Orange Mittai. She also learnt Tamil language. The film had a theatric opening in 2015 and received positive reviews from critics. She played the female lead, Kavya, a girl from Madura town. The actress had only a few combination scenes with Vijay Sethupathi in this film, and so she wants to play a full-fledged heroine in his movie in future. She also dreams to work with Suriya. This actress also wants to try different roles on silver screen and whatever she can do with 100% satisfaction.
