Aadukalam Murugadoss Biography

Aadukalam Murugadoss is a character artist of Tamil cinema. He shot to fame after doing the role of loyal friend of Dhanush in Vetrimaaran's critically acclaimed movie, Aadukulam in 2011 which went on to win many awards including National award for best actor for Dhanush. After this breakthrough movie, Murugadoss came to be known by the name, Aadukalam Murugadoss. Kan Pesum Vaarthaigal, Kutti puli, Thadaiyara Thaakka, Thagaraaru and Mugamoodi are his other noted roles. Murugadoss is to make his debut as a lead actor with the upcoming flick, Kalvargal, directed by Balamithran. Karthik and Abhay play the key roles.

He first made his onscreen appearance for 2004 movie – Ghilli. He appeared in an uncredited role as a background actor and as a team member of Vijay's Kabaddi team. He also appeared in 2006 movie, Pudhupettai in a bit role. Thus Aadukulam released in 2011 marked his real debut to Collywood, after 7 years of struggle in the industry. This role as Dhanush’s friend proved to be the career breakthrough and there is no turning back after that. The film tag got permanently added to his name and he is known for this performance as well. Same year Mounaguru was also released which advanced his career. He played the cameo role of mentally challenged Babu in this movie.

Cuckoo in 2014 is his latest release. In this movie he played a pivot role aside Dinesh and Malavika Nair. He has appeared in two Arulnithi movies till now – Sambhavam and Mouna Guru and in both these movies he played pivot roles. Anjala and Kalvargal are his upcoming movies.
