Aadhav Kannadasan Biography

Aadhav Kannadasan is a noted film actor who works in Tamil film industry. He is the grandson of famous Tamil writer and poet, Kannadasan. He made his acting debut with Ponmaalai Pozhudhu in 2013, and made his Kannada debut with Namo Bhootatma the following year. He has also appeared in a few short films, and worked as assistant in the film industry. He played the supporting role of Young Thamizh in 2014 Tamil horror comedy film, Yaamirukka Bayamey. He is currently working on the films, Pagal and Kaalidas.

Aadhav Kannadasan was born on 8 April 1989 in Chennai, Tamil Nadu into a family of intellectuals. He is also known by the names, Aadhav and Sharan. His paternal grandfather is famous writer Kannadasan. His parents have also been associated with Tamil cinema. His father Kalaivanan Kannadasan is a film director, and his mother Amiritha Gowri Kalaivanan is a producer. He is married to Vinodhnie since 2017. He is associated with film industry since 2011.

Aadav completed his schooling from St. Michael's Academy & later completed his graduation from the very famous Loyola College, Chennai. After graduation he joined film industry as an assistant director in the year 2011 and worked under GNR Kumaravelan for the movies like Ninaithale Inikkum & Yuvan Yuvathi. He made his screen appearance for the first time through the film, Ponmaalai Pozhudhu in 2013, where he portrayed the lead role of Arjun. Aadhav described his role as a "school boy". He was 86 kg before he took up the project, and had to shed 12 kilos for the role. As a part of preparation of the role, he hang out with the four school children to learn their body language.
