A. C. Muthiah Biography 
A. C. Muthiah is an Indian industrialist and cricket administrator. His full name is Annamalai Chidambaram Muthiah. He is the Chairman-Emeritus of Southern Petrochemical Industries Limited (SPIC) and is the chairman of Sri Venkateswara College of Engineering (SVCE), Sriperumbudur. He was the former president of Board of Control for Cricket in India, who has served during the period, 1999 to 2001. Muthiah is the eldest son of former cricket administrator, M. A. Chidambaram and the grandson of Sir Annamalai Chettiar. Rajah Muttaiya Chettiar was his uncle. Famous politician and minister, P. Chidambaram is his cousin.
Muthiah was born in 1940. He was born as the son of industrialist and cricket administrator M. A. Chidambaram. He has a sister. His former education was completed at Chennai. He became a graduate in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Madras. He got his masters' degree from the University of Detroit and joined family business. Muthiah took charge of the Southern Petrochemical Industries Limited (SPIC) after his father’s resignation in 1975. Later he served as Managing Director of Standard Motors and Director of Henkel India Limited and Tuticorin Alkali Chemicals & Fertilisers Ltd. Currently he is the Director of Tamil Nadu Petroproducts Limited, First Leasing Company Ltd and SPEL Semiconductor Ltd.
Later he joined cricket administration. He served as the President of the Tamil Nadu Cricket Association from 1994 to 2002. Muthiah served as the President of the Board of Control for Cricket in India during the period 1999 to 2001. He has served as President of the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) in 2003. He has been a member of Executive Board of the International Cricket Council (ICC), and Marylebone Cricket Club, London. Muthiah was a Member of the Prime Minister's Advisory Council on Trade and Industry also.
