Women's Christian College, or WCC, is an interdenominational women's college , located in Nungambakkam, in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. It was founded in 1915 with 41 students and 7 faculty members .It was a joint venture of 12 missionary societies from England and USA. In 1916 it was declared a first grade autonomous college and was shifted to its present campus in Nungambakkam. It is affiliated to the University of Madras and reaccredited by NACC.

The college fulfills its mission to provide higher education to women of India in liberal arts and sciences. At present it is a government aided minority institution and has grown to strength of over  3224 students and 180 members of faculty in the aided and self-financing sections.

Almost from the beginning, the College has had ties with similar institutions both in India and abroad. In the U.S.A. Mount Holyoke College in Massachusetts has adopted this College as its sister College.

In the year 1994 the College was selected by the University Grants Commission to offer Vocational Training Courses in Biotechnology in the Botany and Zoology Departments and Industrial Microbiology. In 2001 the college began the B.Sc. Nutrition, Food Service Management & Dietetics (Vocational Stream) course. The College began self-financing courses since 1997 and now offers  M.A. (Human Resource Management), M.A. (Communication), M.Sc.(Physics with specialisation in electronics), B.Com, B.B.A. and B.C.A., B.Sc. Visual Communication ,B.A. Corporate Economics,  M.Sc. Biotechnology, M.Sc. Information Technology and M.Sc. Computer Science & Technology.

There are many facilities in this college such as library, laboratories, Canteen, hostel, Chapel, Common Room, Bank, Parking, Auditorium etc. The College from its inception provided a training ground for formal and informal relations between Staff and Students through study, cultural activities, debates, games and religious observance.

There are many activities in the college include College Play, Scripture and value education, Endowment, Lectures, Choir, Parents open day etc . The career guidance cell, which was established in 1998, serves as a vital link between the students of the college and the potential employers of industry.

A daughter institution for training graduates to teach was started in 1937. It was called the Saint Christopher's Training College for women and moved to its own campus in Vepery.
