Schools have already started enjoying the monsoon rains and now it’s the active period of school clubs too. Just observe the school clubs around you. You can find science club, social studies club, IT Club, Mathematics club, Environment club, Forestry club, English club, Hindi club and Tourism club. I have mentioned the names of only a few and still remain dozens of such active clubs. All kids are not equal in tastes and talents and as per one’s talent and interest you can join any club as you wish. Let me briefly explain a few activities under common clubs.

Science club – This club purely belongs to those who are interested in science. This club gives importance to science days of Gregorian calendar and asks kids to study about the importance of those days. Not only that, it arranges field trips to significant places related to science and even arrange discussions and debates with people related to science. It gives enforcement to science competitions like quiz as well as exhibitions and gives kids different scientific projects to work on.   

Forest visits – If you love greenery and nature a lot, forest club is the best option. Such clubs arrange awareness programs of forestation and deforestation and arrange trips and trekking to forest areas as well as wild life sanctuaries.

Mathematics club – Fixing mathematic corners, hanging the portraits of great mathematicians, collecting mathematical puzzles and interesting riddles and finding the relation between natural forces, earth and mathematics purely belong to this club.

Environment club – Members of this club should lead an eco friendly life. That’s the message given by this club. Planting trees, sharing seeds of vegetables and fruit trees, processing plastics, conducting awareness rallies, symposium, seminars and debates and introduction to traditional farming methods come under this club activity.

Health club – New slogan of health is ‘a healthy body, mind, soul and society’. In addition to health of mind and body, a person should able to communicate with the society in a healthy and better way. Then only it can be termed as a healthy person.

Social engineer – Social science club emphasizes on the healthy relationship between a person and society. It depends on all social relations related to living style. School parliament, quiz programs, newspaper readings and discussions and news bulletin are the elements of social science club.
