Watch Aashiqui 2 If You Believe In Love

Today I happened to read that Aashiqui 2 is a blockbuster and that it reached 100 Crore club. So, I wondered if it is the usual procedure of Salman and Shah Rukh Khan’s recent movies or does it really contain something fresh and new to watch for two and half hours. I was a little surprised as this movie doesn’t belong to super stars or experienced actors of Bollywood. Box office has already declared it a block buster! Leading actors of this movie are new comers - Adiya Roy Kapoor, brother-in-law of Vidya Balan and Shraddha Kapoor, daughter of Shakthi Kapoor. The movie is produced by Bhushan Kumar and Mukesh Bhatt, directed by Mohit Suri. So, today I watched the movie. I am not a person who frequently watches movies nowadays. Yet, I need to say, this movie really touched by heart a lot! Yes, there is something fresh and new in the movie and my full credits go the leading actors of the show, particularly Aditya. This movie gave me a few memories of old emotional romantic movies of past added with new flavours.

As the title suggests, Aashiqui looks similar to Aashiqui released 23 years back. Aashiqui was a trendsetter. Though I can’t claim that Aashiqui 2 is also a trendsetter, of course, it keeps the promises of bringing something new in the same platform of singing. Similar to Aashiqui, its sequel also tells the story of two singers, hero and heroine. Main difference is that ego clash is the main subject of the first while addict to drinking is the main subject of the second. When the story unfolds, we see the dark and fading shades of a singing star who already has started sinking in his singing career as he is addicted to drinking. As if it’s destiny or something else, he finds the voice of tomorrow and his follower in the form a club singer. He promises to give her a super stardom that she dreams of and becomes successful too. They both fall in love and feel the need of each other till the rest of their life. But the problem is that, he feels that his drinking habit may sink her career too and she may not reach that success which he has always been ambitious. So, he commits suicide with an untold oath that ‘She should keep him alive through the music he respects most’.

I have seen a few movies like Abhimaan and Aashique were both the people are singers and ego creeps in between them. But this movie belongs to a distinct class where both try to help the other with all efforts and deep love. Its unhappy climax tells you the sacrifices for your loved one. According to me, it’s a must watch for all who still believe in love, romance, sacrifices and deep emotions associated with it. I loved each and every bit of this movie and a few instances and dialogues have really surprised me too. There are a few heart breaking and breath taking moments and this movie is entirely different from all ‘masala movies’ of present time. If you really see movies in a serious way, you can watch it at least one to know the treats given by director and his team. Also, the matured acting given by the leading actors are really awesome. Though Shraddha Kapoor looks a little cold in the first half, after interval movie almost belongs to her. But my full credits go to the leading star, who really stole the whole show by showing variations in his acting skills throughout the movie. It’s really hard to imagine that he is a new boy of B’town with fewer experiences. I give 7 out of 10 for this romantic movie.
