Utility of a Summer Camp

With leads of studies on our shoulders and the increasing heat, we start looking forward to the summer vacation, more so, if we are to go for a summer camp.

A summer camp is a pleasure trip organized by a school or a local club or some other organization. During the vacation, a summer camp is held for the students to a cold place generally. When everybody is tortured by scorching heat, these students feel so happy to escape to a place of charm and comfort. Indeed a summer camp is highly beneficial; one experiences the joy of being out with his peers, speaking off the monodomy of the classroom. Here they are on their own, free to explore new things in the midst of nature’s beauty and bounty and enjoy the thrill of different activities. In a camp staying without their parents, children learn to be independent and do things on their own. Children from different communities and culture assemble at a summer camp. This helps free mixing, developing social skills, building up confidence and self respect. New things are discussed, new friends are made; a feeling of brotherhood is inspired through enjoyable playing and learning. Learning to work together for a common goal, a team spirit develops, fellow feeling is strengthened, differences are forgotten, a feeling of independence comes and students learn to co exist with cooperation and harmony. It is a real fun to stay in a summer camp performing different activities. Sometimes dramatic performances, mono acting, etc. are also held which brings out the talent of a young student, develops his total personality, and promotes intellectual efforts and opportunities of healthy competitions. A summer camp remains incomplete without a camp fire. Oh! What fun it is to stand around the camp fire and clap and sing together. Some more utilities of a summer camp are:

1. One is able to improve one’s respective activities.

2. We can find the best student from each group.

3. One enjoys the summer camp being among his own friends.

4. One is away from the heat of a place (if the camp is held in a cool place).

5. One’s mind gets refreshed and he don’t feel bore when he returns to his regular studies.

6. One tend to learn about the history and historical site of the place (If present any).

The summer camp holds a fascination for all young students. Its attraction cuts all barriers. Without fear, here, one learns to explore new things, learns about morals and ethics. Indeed along with personal growth, a summer camp becomes part of an unforgettable experience which every student must partake once.
