Tiruvuru is 82 km from Vijayawada. It is a business center for nearly 50 villages around it. The population of the town is around 68,000. It is a historical place also. Sri Krishna Deva Raya has visited this place during in his Jaitra yatra of Kondapalli in 1540. This is a second major Gram Panchayat in Andhra Pradesh.
