The Perfect Indian Actor Aamir Khan

 

Aamir Khan is considered to be a perfect actor a rare honor given to any Indian actor. This man from Mumbai was able to bag this title due to his commitment in the field of acting. He is not only an actor but also has many other talents that he shines as an accomplished director and film producer. He started his career in films as a child artist. He got an opportunity to act in the film produced by his uncle. After he grew to be a man he made his debut in 1984 in the film Holi but this film was not noticed much.

 

Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak was the first film that gave him name and fame. This was a commercial hit that brought him many more opportunities. He was launched as a lead hero in Hindi film industry through this film. He received special jury award for this. Many of the films that he worked during that time like Dil, Dil Hai Ke Manta Nahin, Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar, etc. were commercial successes.

 

He got his first Filmfare award for his film Raja Hindustani with Karishma Kapoor. He chose his films with more care. When other actors wanted to act in five or six movies per year he stopped with just one or at the most two. In this way, he stood apart from the crowd and was highly noticed.

 

His Lagaan in 2001 became world famous. It was nominated for the best foreign language film at the 74th Oscar awards. It was a highly successful film both commercially and critically and won him the Filmfare Award for Best Actor. He was praised for his acting skills in the film Dil Chahta Gai. It succeeded in showing the youngsters in their real nature and it received welcome for that.

 

Mangal Pandey and Rang De Basanti were also huge hits. He acted in the role of a man who was suffering from short term memory loss in the film Ghajini. This went to be the greatest grosser of the year. His 3 Idiots also became quite famous among the younger generation. This won many awards at the Filmfare and other awarding ceremonies.

 

He made his directorial debut through the film Taare Zameen Par. This was a story about a small boy affected with dyslexia; the boy had learning disabilities and so he is afraid of school and teachers; Aamir Khan helps him out of his difficulties and makes him a man. It is said that this film partly shows the life of Aamir Khan himself during his childhood days. He won Filmfare Award for Best Director for this film.

 

He won the prestigious Padma Shri award in 2003 and Padma Bhushan award in 2010 from the Government of India for his contributions to the cinema industry. He is also appointed as the brand ambassador of India of UNICEF for the promotion of child nutrition.
